Craig, thank you for sharing your well written and totally on point post. I of course completely agree with your premise that analysis verses management are two different subjects. I am looking forward to the term/concept of “analysis” becoming more widespread within the SEM community. This may be something we could work on together.

So while clickequations looks great, what do you suggest for smaller players for who your fees make it uneconomical, but still want to be sophisticated in their PPC management? At $3000/month I just can't justify an extra $700.

Well said. If you are serious about your search campaign then you absolutely need to an SEM Firm to run your campaigns or at least something like ClickEquations for the DIYs.
